Y’all have heard me discuss CEO Mindset before but probably never like this. Did you know that all the principles I readily discuss about being a CEO also can be found in the scriptures?
Let’s start with defining what a CEO means to you. While you won’t find the term “CEO” in the scriptures you’ll find wisdom about being self-reliant, godliness, self-improvement, etc. The scriptures are full of information about who a child of God is and simply because you are in business, doesn’t mean the two things are separate. In fact, it can help you define your role as a CEO. One of the best parts about owning your own company is you get to be whatever type of CEO you want to be. I personally, find myself building my company on the principles laid out in the gospel. Just keep in mind your spiritual gifts when deciding what type of business you’ll run and how you want to run it. “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one ot the another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” (1 Peter 4:10, KJV)
Limiting beliefs is a big area where you can pull from the scriptures to find strength. Now there’s a million scriptures I could pull from here but I’ll just share the one because I think it embodies everything you need to know about yourself. “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. / The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: / And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” (Romans 8: 15-17, KJV). Lady, you’re a co-heir with Jesus Christ. Whatever limiting beliefs you may have, just remember that God believes you are worthy of being an heir to all that is His. When you realize your true destiny, it is easier to kick the limiting beliefs and move forward in your business with confidence. While your business is amazing, inheriting all that God has to offer is a much bigger and wonderful opportunity. If you are capable and worthy of that, you are capable and worthy of running a successful company on your terms.
Staying in the CEO Mindset also means taking care of yourself. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Being a CEO means you’re making decisions daily, you’re working more than you probably ever have, etc. It is crucial that you stop and take care of you if you’re going to make those sound decisions and crush those limiting beliefs. “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (3 John 1:2, KJV). God wants you to prosper but He also wants you to take care of you. He also wants you to be in good health and have a fulfilled soul. Be sure to take care of your health and yourself internally in order to keep business running smoothly and your sanity in check.
CEO Mindset is more than just thinking like a boss. It’s about treating yourself like a CEO and thinking of yourself as the powerful and successful woman you are. Pull some strength from the scriptures to find your place in the business world and be proud of the woman you are.
